Disclaimer : Mature content and language. I opted to no longer share short-stories until a young innocent man without defense at the prime of his youth got scared to go back to school. Why? He was selected to join a highly-selective top-notch brand university located in a dominant country but influential people started saying things that got him worried to set back foot in the establishment. He is all alone in a country he does not know. He has never opened his mouth to share his thoughts and does not hang out in a crowd. He depicts a smart young man who is entitled to a future. Every life counts regardless whether you a big person at the top of the ladder or a small person at the bottom of the ladder. He does not party and spends his entire days studying. His parents are not around (i.e. they live in another country and cannot afford to visit him). The subject is delicate enough that he does not want to share it with his parents, few sparse friends nor with the psychological aid program on campus. But, he is spooked enough to ask me for help and I am old enough to be his mother. That being said, I am not his mother to give him a hug but can respond back with a short-story. My mandate is not to tell someone do this or that nor think this or that but simply whisper that you will eventually figure out how to cope. My first response to the young man was simply to change channel and focus on his future.

It took years to get stitched back from the dead and after having buried previous lives, there is little left to lose at this point in my life. Henceforth, sharing a story that might benefit the common-man no longer feels like a threat. Life has a twisted way of balancing the equation: There is nothing left to lose now that I have reached a milestone inflection point in my life but so much to transmit to the new generation.

We all have a civil responsibility to appease human suffering. Here goes my contribution in form of short-stories. I consider it a drop in 7 Oceans.
