BENTHAM L-DOPA-THC MAGISTRATE

Once upon a time, I crossed the pathway of a sociologist holding a specialization in narcotics. He was more of a free-spirit unwilling to join traditional careers in his domain which are often funded by governments. He was not interested in a career in academia or law. He was an avid philosopher and had a passion for cinema which is a form of unceremonious magistrate. He liked cameras and special effects.

I asked: «Why choose sociology and particularly narcotics?»

He responded: «When I was a kid, I used to live in a village far away from the city. During the peak of a recession, unemployment hit hard and narcotics exacerbated the problem. Suddenly, one of my close friends had disappeared without a trace and I never really knew the story from A to Z but think narcotics were involved. I had noticed that organized crime particularly in narcotics had shaped society.»

I asked: «How do you distinguish yourself from criminologists in the workforce?»

He responded: «I do not work for the force and am not a lawyer who defends clients. I am a philosopher who attempts to understand how narcotics engender a new infrastructure in population samples I examine. I am by no means advocating for the use of narcotics. I kept my nose clean young, do not have marks of drug punctures, never attempted experimenting with drugs and have seen lots of damage from the use of narcotics. That being said, I do not judge users and reiterate that addiction is an illness and people need help. I have noticed that there is a form of order in society shaped by organized crime. I am not encouraging anyone to join criminals or consume narcotics. I portray a philosopher who examines patterns and is respected for my neutral objective position.»

I asked: «Who is Bentham?»

He responded: «Jeremy Bentham is the father of a doctrine called utilitarianism where an individual commands his own actions seeking to maximize his own pleasure and repels actions that cause unhappiness or harm.»

I asked: «What is L-DOPA-THC?»

He responded: «L-DOPA is the precursor of dopamine which is a neurotransmitter that dispatches pleasure messages from the brain to the rest of the body. THC is a psychoactive chemical constituent found in narcotics that stimulate the chemical messenger L-DOPA.»

I asked: «How did the evolution of narcotics shape society?»

He responded: «A very long time ago, narcotics resembled the Wild Wild West as drawn in cartoons. In developed and developing countries, organized crime in narcotics became sophisticated. In the Western World, the judicial system just like the educational and health system is overcrowded. Consequently, the force shifted its energy into studying hierarchies and striking only to ensure that it strikes key figures rather than raiding a mass. This modus operandi reduces collateral damage and echoes back a stronger message. I came up with the observation that the force became skilled at schematizing a risk mitigation matrix still unseen in other crime and order domains.»

I asked: «How do you apply your doctrine to the current turmoil in the Arabian Peninsula?»

He responded: «We are not dealing with organized crime but a new country distraught surrounded by much older civilizations. There are always people for and against a regime. There are also good people and bad people in all countries. The war of words used by the new country, a new form of unprecedented provocation, to nuke sieged people mirrors the early foundations of organized crime such as content caricaturized in Wild Wild West movies where normal people are provided opportunities to join a movement in exchange of artillery and cheap housing. This initiates a sense of thrill and pleasure induced in the brain and a mirror image of narcotics. In reprimand, some residents from the sieged country rebel to fight back which leads to another organized group. In advanced modern countries civilized for many centuries, there is an order to deal with underlying society problems. For example, a group will weigh in on negotiating to get back hostages rather than burn an entire village jeopardizing hostages. Countries can declare war anytime but the thrill is not the same as power trips in everyday life which mirror more the effects of narcotics.»

I asked: «Do you see a behavioral pattern?»

He responded: «Yes, the terrorizer became terrorized to fight back with terror. The equation is quite simple: 1 + 1 = 2! Terror added to terror leads to more terror! Obviously, other countries will choose a side but fundamentally the equation does not change.»

I asked: «Can old wounds be healed?»

He responded: «Not quite, too little too late! If three generations have suffered while the leaders of the new country's nation double dip with rich countries from the same ethnic group as the sieged people, attempting to normalize relations for money purposes, there is a significant probability that these better off countries are next in line to be rolled over. One must be a fool to believe that they will be spared if their brothers and sisters are burned alive next door. Obviously, money rules the world and there will always be cheaters and facilitators who will benefit from the distraught. From the outside, the picture looks like an experiment: A well-off country with less than a century of existence building walls to separate themselves from a country that became one the most deprived and impoverished places in the world. It would be simple to obtain blood, urine and stool samples to quantify the most terrorized group. Body fluids do not lie. That being said, in a couple of centuries via an unceremonious magistrate, some groups will vanish to make room for new organized groups which is something seen in organized crime.»

I responded: «Thanks for a wonderful lesson about Bentham L-DOPA-THC magistrate.»
